Shop Assistant/Branch Administrator
26 hours per week
To be worked flexibly according to the staff rota across 4 days Monday – Saturday plus working extra hours as required for holiday/absence cover
We are looking for a pleasant and motivated person to join our branch team working as a shop assistant in the shop and also providing administrative support one day per week in our branch office. You must be able to take on the full range of shop duties including opening up, cashing up and locking up the shop, operating the till, sorting donations, pricing and overseeing the work of volunteers. You must have had previous experience of handling cash and ideally have been a key holder. Experience of dealing with customers is essential. Ideally you will have worked previously in a retail environment.
You must be able to use the internet to look up items and be able to count money accurately and complete hand written labels and forms. You must also be able to demonstrate basic office administrative skills and have had experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel.
